What do I Teach?

Let's talk about sax, baby!

-

While saxophone is my passion, I'm also experienced and qualified to teach:

- Ear training and music theory
- Improvisation & Soloing
- Rehearsal techniques for bands
- Beginner & intermediate guitar

If you're looking for mentorship as a band, we can work on:

- Balance and dynamics
- Building an engaging stage show
- Effective rehearsal techniques
- Tips and tricks for touring like a pro

As a performer, I believe I bring decades of experience to the table. I've been performing since I was 15, and released my first record back in 2013! Since then, I've played over 2000 shows, toured Canada and the US independently, recorded with iconic Canadian musicians, and

On the academic side of things, I'm also a graduate of Queen's University's music program (B.Mus '19), and their teacher education program (B.Ed '20). I have years of experience teaching privately and in the public school system. I'm even an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT); you can look me up!

Walking in both of these worlds keeps me well-rounded. As a performer, I never want to stop learning new ways to connect with music. As a teacher, I never want to stop honing my craft.

Why Take Lessons with me?

I believe in making music both for joy and for mastery. Whether you're a professional musician looking to hone your craft, or you just wanna learn some tunes for the jam session, my focus is on you.
